One thing we could all use right now is a little good news.  With all that is happening around us, it is easy to see why people easily get discouraged.  The families of the men and women stationed around the globe fighting for their country will not rest easy until their loved ones return.  Then there is Washington and its out-of-control spending and corruption.  No wonder Americans are becoming a little pessimistic about the future of our nation, as well as their own outlook and dreams for their children. 

So where can we find peace?  What can cast away our fears?   "And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to ALL people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.'"  In this old familiar passage from Luke we can find peace, joy, and even freedom from fear.  Yes, there is good news out there; you just need to know where to look.  And you won't find it by gathering around a "festivus pole."  Let's all spread the "good news" this Christmas.
