About Fred

Fred Ramey is a lifelong resident of Arkansas, where he has worked in the areas of both agriculture and transportation.  He strongly encourages people from all walks of life to become involved in the political process, bringing their unique ideas and experiences to the public debate.  Along with his wife Gina, Fred spent the last year traveling the state of Arkansas campaigning for U.S. Senate.  It was during this journey they realized fully how many people felt discouraged and invisible to those in public office.  Fred's intentions are to use this blog as a voice for those who have gone unheard far too long.

Fred is co-owner of Ramey & Co. Investments, a small real estate investment company, and a former rice and soybean farmer.  He is currently in his eighteenth year with one of the largest transportation companies in the world.  Fred was a candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in 2010. He and his wife Gina (Shands), a teacher at Liberty Christian School, reside in Searcy with their four daughters, ages thirteen, eleven, eight, and four. The Rameys are active members of Trinity Baptist Church.

In the thirty-plus years that I have known Fred, one of his most outstanding qualities is integrity.  This quote sums it up:  "If you have integrity, nothing else matters.  If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters."
