Flying the Vigilant Skies posted December 28, 2009
Last Friday's airline incident aboard NWA Flight 253 is just a shining example of how PC our national security and mainly our Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano have become. Secretary Napolitano said that the attack "was stopped before any damage could be done." Stopped by whom? Well, let's see. I believe it was a passenger who stopped him. A passenger who, along with his fellow passengers, did not intend on dying last Friday. The brilliant secretary went on to say, "I think the important thing to recognize here is that once this incident occurred, everything happened that should have." That may be what she thinks, but I'm more interested in what she knows.......apparently not much. Did she know that just last month the alleged bomber's own father reported to the American Embassy in Nigeria about his son's extremism? Even after this report, Abdulmutallab was not targeted for additional security nor banned from flying altogether. Only the vigilance of extaordinary people will help us to survive the next three years of an administration that is clearly worried more about not offending foreigners and creating constitutional rights of terrorists at Gitmo than the safety of the American people. Stay vigilant -- we are going to have to fight this war ourselves. | [+] |
